And as quickly as it began...

I was accepted to DCCC for the program I wanted; Computer Information Sciences. I was approved for a Pell Grant from the Fed which would've covered almost all of my school expenses. I even managed to schedule a placement test in time for registration on May 18th.

But DCCC wants to determine my "financial eligibility" based on tax returns. I lived and worked in Canada illegally for the last three years. Because I was illegal, I have nothing to prove that I lived and worked there instead of the US.

So. No financial aid means no school for me because I cannot get a job due to being my mother's full time caregiver.

And that, as they say, is that.

It certainly was pretty to think so.
